Heart-Healthy Tuna Noodle Casserole
This lighter version of Tuna Noodle Casserole is comfort food without being too heavy. It’s perfect for a cozy weekend supper and makes great leftovers too.
Ingredients
6 oz egg noodles
1 can tuna, drained
1 cup frozen peas
1 can cream of mushroom soup (or homemade)
½ cup milk
¼ tsp black pepper
½ tsp garlic powder
½ cup breadcrumbs (optional)
Directions
- Cook egg noodles according to package directions and drain.
- In a bowl, mix soup, milk, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Stir in tuna, peas, and cooked noodles.
- Pour into an 8×8 baking dish.
- Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top if using.
- Bake at 350°F for 25–30 minutes until hot and bubbly.
- Let sit 5–10 minutes before serving.
Serves about 3–4.
